Agfa Chrome 1000RS Film Simulation
Agfa Chrome 1000RS was a highly regarded professional slide film, beloved for its distinctive blue shift in cooler tones and its raw, high-grain character. Discontinued in 1995, it remains one of the most sought-after looks in analogue photography.
This Agfa Chrome 1000RS film simulation captures the film’s signature neutral tonality with a subtle contrast lift and a cool colour shift that leans toward deep blues and muted greens. It works particularly well with overcast light, urban scenes, and anything with a moody or cinematic edge.
For the most authentic result, push the grain to maximum – the original was rated at 1000 ASA and had an unmistakably coarse, filmic texture. For a subtler interpretation, reduce opacity to blend it with your base exposure. At full opacity with a cold white balance, it edges toward a raw Lomo aesthetic.
Available as a CUBE LUT, XMP profile and ICC profile – compatible with Lightroom, Capture One, DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop.
