Kodak Portra 800 Film Simulation
Kodak Portra 800 is the most saturated and punchy of the three Portra grades – designed for photographers who want vivid, rich colour while still maintaining the Portra signature that keeps skin tones accurate and flattering.
This Portra 800 film simulation delivers a subtle but meaningful saturation boost over the 400 – enough to add energy and vibrancy to an image without crossing into oversaturation or losing the fine skin tone control that Portra is renowned for. It’s the ideal choice for colorists who want more life in their colours while staying within the Portra palette.
The difference across the three grades comes down to saturation. Portra 160 for mild desaturation and red warmth. Portra 400 for neutral balance. Portra 800 for the most vivid, saturated result – while always remaining true to Portra’s character.
Works equally well for digital photography and for proofing scans of actual Portra 800 film.
Available as a CUBE LUT, XMP profile and ICC profile – compatible with Lightroom, Capture One, DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop.
