Film Simulation — AGFA
Included Formats
Agfa Optima 100 was a fine-grained consumer print film known for its deep blue tones and rich colour rendering. This Agfa Optima 100 film simulation takes a different direction – inspired by a niche lomography trend discovered during research, rather than a straight reproduction of the film’s original character.
Crafted in 2020 from collected Agfa Optima 100 prints – before spectral data sheets were available – this grade interprets the film through the lens of experimental lomography. Purples shift toward light pinks, reds push aggressively into bright orange, and shadows fall into deep greens. The result is a distinctive palette built on complementary colour contrast that breaks away from conventional film looks.
Note: an updated version reworked from the original spectral sensitivity curves is planned for late 2026. This current release may become a legacy grade at that point.
If you shoot in situations where reds are not critical, and you want something unconventional and bold, this grade is worth exploring.
Available as a CUBE LUT, XMP profile and ICC profile – compatible with Lightroom, Capture One, DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop.
